The 5K run is a simple out and back on paved, lightly traveled, Rt. 53. Runners proceed out of the park and turn south on Rt 53. At .25 miles is a short uphill. After that, the course is basically flat until descending the same small hill to the finish. The Total elevation gain and loss is 115 feet.  There are Heed and water at the turnaround.
